The Friends of San Vicente Ferrer is an independent organization primarily
intended to help church leaders, including the youth, raise funds to support the church activities. With about 500 members,
this small christian community wishes to reach out to the less fortunate, the sick and disabled members in the community,
however, due to limited funds, cannot or may have difficulty even achieving its basic purpose.
The Friends of San Vicente Ferrer means and involves anyone who are willing
to help, in any way, church leaders and youth organizers bring people closer to GOD, regardless of religious denomination, through
community outreach programs, feeding programs, livelihood projects and other charity works.
This site is intended to increase awareness in the situation of the San Vicente Ferrer Catholic chuch of Crossing Manikling,
San Isidro, Davao Oriental, Philippines.
Whatever funds that may be generated from this initiative is exclusively intedended for the following purposes:
(a) Donations made to the less fortunate members of the community, regardless of religious
denomination, on occasions of christmas, San Vicente Ferrer feast day, flores de mayo (whole month of May), calamities
and other emergency cases;
(b) Feeding programs;
(c) Medical/Dental missions;
(d) Livelihood projects;
(e) Allowances for teachers during the "Flores de Mayo",
a whole month activity intended to venerate the Blessed Virgin Mary;
(f) School supplies for the kids on the culmination day of "Flores de Mayo."
Tired? Probably.... But our highly-spirited youth and church members take
time for posterity picture before the gift giving activity...Fulfilled...Proud and Happy to be the Santa Claus for our community
this time of the year!

The Gagmay'ng Kristohanong Katilingban (GKK), which means "the small christian community",
of San Vicente Ferrer, is part of the San Isidro Parish Church.
San Vicente Ferrer is the patron saint of Crossing Manikling, San Roque, San Isidro, Davao Oriental
in the Philippines. Normally, the feast day of San Vicente Ferrer is celebrated on the 20-21st of April of every year.
The Diocesan Youth Association (DYA), is a group of young men and women, who are members of the
church, organized to assist and manage youth related-projects intended to help the church leaders bring the people closer
to God through the church and its noble activities.
